The emperor of Lilliput was a bit taller than anyone else around him. He was around 28, strong and had a masculine face. He wore simple clothing but carried a gold, jewel-encrusted helmet and sword. He had been the emperor for the last seven years. However, he was also a man of false ego. He was interested in making his officials walk on tightropes and perform other dangerous acts to obtain and keep their jobs. He was happy to be with his favourites in the court and believed them without making any investigations. In addition, he loved wars and wanted to enslave the people of his neighboring island, Blefuscu.
He was impressed with Gullliver’s huge size, his strength and his kindness. He started trusting Gulliver and became kind to him. Every morning Gulliver asked him to set him free but he refused.
