There are two important issues raised in Mother's Day. First, it is that children should learn to respect their mothers. Second, the husband or the father at home should learn how to respect their wives. As the famous saying 'Charity begins at home' suggests, it is from home the children ought to learn to respect their mother. The father should teach them by respecting his wife. Here respect means acknowledging the pain the mother takes in keeping the house in order and in making life comfortable for the other members of the family. The author has tried to make people understand that the mother too is a member of the house.Unfortunately, the mothers are often treated inhumanly. It should be remembered that she too has her own life to live and that she expects, if not a pay, but at least some respect in return of her labour.
