What are the limitations of lewis dot structure ?

Lewis dot structure tells how the electrons are distributed within a molecule when different atoms are bonded. This theory is very useful to predict whether ionic or covalent bonds is formed between certain elements and tells in what ratio they will combine. But the shape of the molecule cann’t  be explained by Lewis theory.
