Following are the policies formulated by Samudragupta, famous ruler
of Gupta dynasty

1) The kingdoms of Aryavarta were defeated and they were
made a part of Samudragupta’s empire

2) The 12 rulers of Dakshinapatha surrendered to Samudragupta
after being defeated and they were later allowed by Samudragupta to
rule again

3) The neighbouring states including Assam, Nepal, and a number of
gana Sanghas brought tributes to Samudragupta They followed his
orders and sometimes attended his court too
4) Moreover the descendants of Kushanas and
Shakas submitted to Samudragupta, by offering their daughters in
marriage in order to protect their
kingdoms
