what are the themes of the story should wizard hit mommy?
One of the major themes in the story deals with the question of authority and parenting. Through the story of "Roger Skunk", the narrator Jack wants to emphasize on the fact that mothers are always right and they know what is best for their child. Jo on the other hand, is inquisitive and young. For her, friendship and social acceptance are the most important things. She is therefore, unhappy with the ending and wants her father to change it. But Jack doesn't listen to her because he wants to insist on the importance of individuality and the acceptance of what is natural. His perspective is more matured when compared to his daughter who is young and unrealistic.
