The adult human skeleton is made up of 206 bones, and is divided into two main divisions:
- The axial 2. The appendicular.
- Axial skeleton forms the axis of human body. It consists of Skull, vertebral column and thoracic cage. It is the first part of human skeleton system.
- Appendicular skeleton is the skeleton of appendages of human body. It consists of Shoulder girdle, Skeleton of upper limb, Pelvic girdle and Skeleton of lower limb.
