The Pythagorean Theorem states that the sum of the squares of sides of a right triangle, equals the square of the hypotenuse. The theorem is used in building fences, along with architecture in general. Crime scene investigators also use it to determine the trajectory of a bullet, and geologists use it to calculate the epicenter of earthquakes.
