What are transitive and intransitive verbs ?

To differenciate, We have to ask the qn. what and whom to the verb. if it is answers the answer iis transtive. if it is not intranstive. if it is answer for any one qn. is enough.

For Eg:

Ram is playing football.

now We asking what. what ram is playing? ram is playing foot ball. it answers. So it is transtive verb..
