What aspects of human nature are revelaed through the encounter of the author and the snake

Dear Student,

The homeopathy doctor in the chapter ' The Snake and The Mirror' used to live in a rat-infested dilapidated room during the early days of his practice. Despite being poverty-stricken,  he believed his handsome looks would help him in marrying a rich female doctor. It took an encounter with a snake to make him realise that he is just a man of flesh and blood. He realised that he was not superior to others for being handsome. It reveals that human beings live in a state of superiority or inferiority in their day to day lives. However, when their very existence is at stake they realise that they are all equal. In the end, we are all just flesh and blood.

Regards,
