what changes the poet's mood in the poem dust of snow..why?

Dear Student,

It is the fine particles of snow or the dust of snow that changed the poet's mood. This was because while he was sitting under a hemlock tree regretting the bad day he had, a crow came flying over and shook a branch of the tree and some dust of snow fell over him. This changed his mood. After this, he became happy and ready to face the rest of the day. His mood changed from that of dismay to joy. His heart was delighted. The dust of snow made his day and retrieved it from being wasted. He got enlistment in his spirits with the change in nature.
