what did the narrator learn about mrs dorling from her mother?

The narrator's mother felt Mrs Dorlingwas a very kind and generous lady because every time she came to their house she took the beautiful antique plates, crockery, cutlery and the silverware because she said she liked to save the nice things. She insisted on taking all their nice things on the pretextof saving them.

Later her mother gave her Mrs Dorling's address on 46, Marconi street if she would ever want to visit her for their belongings.

The narrator's mother was too simple to understand the lady's motive behind her kindness.

Mrs.S told her daughter that Mrs. Dorling was an old acquaintance whom she had not seen for years. She had suddenly turned up and renewed their contact. Since then, she had visited regularly. Every time she left the place, she took some of Mrs.S'd belongs- the table silver, antique plates, vases etc- back with her for safekeeping. Mrs.S also tells her daughter that the idea was suggested by Mrs.Dorling herself. She also gives her the address Number 46, Marconi street and asks her to remember it. Mrs. Dorling was an opportunist and took home all of Mrs. S's belongings on the pretext of saving it. But, Mrs.S thought she was helpful and doing them a great favour.
