What do the columns A and B denote in Mendeleev's periodic table?
Dear Student,
Columns A and B were the sub-groups in the Mendeleev's periodic table. The elements in a subgroup resembled each other more than the elements of different subgroups. For example in 4th perios, I group, K and Cu resembled in properties.
