what do the tigers signify in this poem? is it the male domination shown by the tigers ?

The tigers in the poem signify an alter ego to the Aunt. They represent the life she wants to lead: free and unbound, and unafraid. The tigers are not afraid of the men who were out to hunt them and walked in a certain chivalric fashion. They were free spirited and unbound by ordeals like the aunt was.
HER husband was very domineering and she led a life where she had to fulfil the demands of her husband, she lived in a patriarchal society which suppressed women and percieved them as inferior creatures. No there is no male domination shown by the tigers.
