Listing of securities means an admission of securities of the company for trading on a stock exchange. The listing provides an exclusive privilege as only securities are quoted on the stock exchange. The stock exchange provides transparency in transactions of listed securities.
Listed securities are traded through the Demat accounts. While trading these shares on the stock exchange, Securities Transaction Tax (STT) is paid on the sale value of a share.
