What do you mean by tenses
The form of verb about which we are talking is known as tense.
Tenses can be classified into three groups: 1) Simple Present Tense 2) Simple Past Tense 3) Simple Future Tense.
Continuous Tenses: Continuous Tenses can be classified into three groups: 1) Present Continuous Tense 2) Past Continuous Tense 3) Future Continuous Tense.
Perfect Tenses: Perfect Tenses can be classified into three groups: 1) Present Perfect Tense 2) Past Perfect Tense 3) Future Perfect Tense.
The tense can be shown in the verb. For example,am,is, andareare always present tense, andwasandwereare always past tense. Or the tense can be shown by adding words to the verb. In English, the words that we add to the verb are "helping verbs" or "auxiliaries", likebe,have,shall,will, and so on. So we get the continuous present withis taking, the future withwill take, and so on.
