What do you observe whencammonia hydroxide added to aqueous solution of ferroc chloride
Dear Student,
When ammonium hydroxide is added to an aqueous solution of ferric chloride, we get ferric hydroxide and ammonium chloride.
3NH4OH (aq)+ FeCl3 (aq)→ 3NH4Cl (aq)+ Fe(OH)3 (s)
This is an example of double displacement reaction, as the anions (or cations) of the compounds were swapped with each other.
