What do you understand by Lignification and Differentiation of Interfasicular cambium? how and by whichi activityit is being brought in plants?

Please find below the solution to the asked query

Lignin is an organic compound that binds to cellulose and forms the chief part of woody tissue. Deposition of lignin on the cell wall  is called lignification. Through this process woody tissues are formed. The lignin synthesis begins in the cytosol of cell. It is then transported through membrane and finally gets deposited on the cell walls.

Interfasicular cambium is secondary meristem and is present between two consecutive vascular bundles. It differentiates into secondary phloem, secondary xylem and conjunctive tissue during secondary growth in plants.
The differentiation of vascular cambium occurs by the process of differentiation. It is the developmental process and final phase of plant growth. In this phase cells attain their maximum size and final shape. Wall thickening, protoplasmic modifications take place completely and cells attain maturity to perform specific functions.
