What do you understand of Einstein’s nature from his conversations with his history teacher, his

mathematics teacher and the head teacher?

Albert Einstein was against the then prevailing theory of education. He did not believe in the concept of rote memorisation in the subjects like history and thus, angered his teacher by presenting his viewpoint. He believed more in answering the question 'why' rather than 'who' or 'when'. He just could not understand himself the importance of the methods in which lessons were delivered in schools. According to him, the methods were not helpful in imparting real education. He might sound stubborn or arrogant in the chapter but it was simply his inability to deal with the then prevailing education system. This was the reason why he was relieved to be suspended from school.

Hope this helps!

Einstein was a boy of strong convictions with firm opinions. He was frank with logical reasoning. He expressed his views regardless of the punishment that would follow.

The head teacher told Albert that his work was terrible and he was not prepared to have him in the school any longer. He added that Albert’s presence in the classroom made it impossible for the teacher to teach and for the other pupils to learn. Albert refused to learn and rebelled. So no serious work could be done while he was there.
