Oogamy is a form of anisogamy found predominantly in animals where female gamete is larger in size and non-motile while male gamete is smaller in size and highly motile. It is a form of a sexual reproduction. After fertilisation, post fertilisation happen.
Post fertilisation development includes conversion of eggs into embryo or the zygote undergo divisions to form embryo, then a rapid division of cells takes place in the embryo to form organs. Also embryo get nourishment through placenta.
