What does the author mean by ' kept the first road for another day'? Does he come back and take the first road again? Does he get to be in a new adventure?

Dear student,

The poet thought that the second road would be more rewarding than the first one, so he decided he would try the first one on another day. Here, 'roads' stand for the choices we make that determine and influence our lives.
In his heart, he knows that he will not be able to come back and try the first road again as 'one way leads to another'. It is difficult to get back to the original point where a person chose one option over the other.
He definitely gets to be in a new adventure because of the bold choice he makes.

Regards
