What does the narrator say about the village doctor?

the doctor of  the narrators village is 'gundabhatta'. acc. to the narrator he was fond of travelling and as a matter of fact he has seen many places(but not england) though he himself always says that he had only visited few in his time. the author mention him to convince the reader that his village hosahali is really a beautiful and important place though it nowhere appears on the map. gundabhatta also like narrator speaks glowingly of hosahali.
