What does the poet (Robert Frost) mean by this, "And then next day as I come back into the sane, ..."

Dear student,
The above line is taken from the poem, 'A Roadside Stand' by Robert Frost.
By the line, the poet wants to say that- As he comes back to his senses(sane), he can again see the reality. He sees the cars passing without any feelings, the plight of the poor and the sufferings of the helpless that are present at the roadside stand.
I hope that this clears your doubt.
Regards
