What fond memories did Helen nurture of her initial nineteen months?

Dear Student,
Given below is the answer to your question.

The beginning of Helen's life was quite simple and akin to the life of any other child. She was the darling of her family, named after her grandmother. She began to show signs of an eager, self-asserting disposition quite early in life and, she would insist upon imitating  everything others were doing . At six months she could formulate words and attract everyone's attention. 'Water' was one of the first words she learned and she remembered it even after her illness when all speech was lost to her. She began walking when she was a year old, her mother had just taken her out of the bath and attracted by flickering shadows of leaves that danced in the sunlight on the floor, she slipped out from her mother's lap running towards them. She calls them her happy days, full of summer, songs, birds, flowers and the happiness of partaking in the joys of childhood with nature as her guiding spirit.  Helen Keller was a jovial and bright child in her infancy. She was charming and attracted everyone easily. When she turned one year old, she started walking. She also imitated everyone she saw. It was a sudden fever that closed her eyes and ears forever. It was called the congestion of the stomach and the brain. Helen also had fits of rage as a child. But things changed as she grew up. Thus the significant events of her initial years include her relationship with the people around and how the sickness changed her life forever.
