What gas does a plant breathes in and gives out during respiration?

Plants during the day time intakes carbon dioxide and release oxygen and They breathe through the tiny pores present on leaves called STOMATA. They do so in order to prepare their food through process of photosynthesis.
That's why it is advisable to sit under tree during day and not during night as during night reverse process takes place in which plants releases CO₂ and intakes O_2.
