What happends when there are no decomposers in a forest?

Bacteria in the soil are also decomposers.

If there are no decomposers. Wastes and the remains of dead organisms will pile up and the nutrients within the waste and dead organisms will not be released back into the ecosystem. Producers will not have enough nutrients to prepare food.
