As the liquid is heated the the kinetic energy of the molecules increase and they liquid starts to expand. When the temperature reaches the boiling point of the liquid it starts boiling the phase changes from liquid to gaseous.

 Nothing happens to a liquid when it is heated until it reaches the boiling point. When the boiling point is reached molecules expand, the liquid starts to evaporate and turn to gas.

when a liquid is heated the particles gain more kinetic energy and start to vibrate vigourously slowly the force of attraction becomes smaller and it changes to gaseous state ,it changes to gaseous state when it reaches its boiling point.
