What happens when potassium iodide solution is added to a solution of lead nitrate ?
Give the chemical equation also .
Dear student,
When potassium iodide is added to a solution of lead nitrate and potassium nitrate and lead iodide are formed. The Colour of lead iodide is yellow. This is an example of a double displacement reaction.
2KI + Pb(NO3)2 --------> 2 KNO3 + PbI2
