What is (9+2) strand flagella?

A typical eukaryotic flagella consists of a core called axoneme at the centre that has a bundle of 9 fused microtubule duplets surrounding 2 central single microtubules. This is what is called as the (9+2) structure of a flagella as shown in the below picture:-
