What is a cell?

Dear student

The cell is the basic structural, functional, and biological unit of all known living organisms. Cells are the smallest unit of life that can replicate independently, and are often called the "building blocks of life".
There are 2 types of cell
1. Prokaryotic cell - which do not have membrane bound organelles. Example - Bacterial Cell
2. Eukaryotic cell - which have well defined nucleus and membrane bound organelles. Example-  Plant Cell and Animal Cell

Hope it helps :)

“A cell is defined as the smallest, basic unit of life that is responsible for all of life's processes.” Cells are the structural, functional, and biological units of all living beings. A cell can replicate itself independently. Hence, they are known as the building blocks of life.
