what is a contact force ? what does it explain in the topic

Contact forces can be defined as the forces which can be applied on an object only when it is in contact with the object. For example: Frictional force. When a body falls then air in contact round the body provide resistance and this an example of contact forces.

Friction is the biggest example of contact forces as it only comes into role when body is in contact with another body or in contact with other surfaces.

let me tell u that there are 2 types of forces:- 1)contact force and 2)non contact force

contact force is a force in which a object comes in contact with the other obect.

eample: lifting the bell by a hand

The force which can be apllied with being in contact with the force is called contact  FORCE.

Examples of  Contact force -Muscular  force  and  force  of  Friction..

@  sara shah example given i.e. lifting the bell by hand is a good example for muscular force..
