what is a difference between saprophytic and saprozoic mode of nutrition?

Saprophytic and saprozoic nutrition are related terms. Saprophytic nutrition can be defined as the mode of nutrition where the organism derives its nutrition from dead and decaying matter, while saprozoic nutrition is the nutrition of an animal by absorption of dissolved salts and simple organic nutrients from surrounding medium.

Saprotrophs are those organisms which feed on dead organic matter and this mode of nutrition id known as saprophytic mode. Saprotrophic organisms have no chlorophyll and hence, cannot make their own food. For example- mushroom, yeast.

Holozoic:- Those organism (like amoeba) which take their food in solid/liquid form and digest it inside their body, this mode of nutrition is known as holozoic.

In saprophytic nutrition,some protozoa subsists by the absorption of nutrition materials dissolved in the water where it lives. While in saprozoic nutrition, it involves subsisting on dead animal matter.
