a) Fertilizers: Any organic or inorganic material of natural or synthetic origin that is added to a soil to supply one or more plant nutrients essential to the growth of plants is called fertilizer . The use of fertilizers increases the fertility of the soil and results in better yields of food crops when added in the required amount to the soil.
b) Pesticide:Pesticides are substances or a mixture of substances intended for preventing, destroying, repelling or mitigating any pest. It may be a chemical, biological agent, antimicrobial, disinfectant or device used against any pest including insects, plant pathogens, weeds, molluscs, microbes etc. Example: DDT
c) Insecticide:Insecticide is a pesticide used against insects. They include ovicides and larvicides used against the eggs and larvae of insects respectively. It is used in agriculture, household etc.
