What is a rhombus in detail

In geometry, a rhombus or rhomb is a quadrilateral whose four sides all have the same length. The rhombus is often called a diamond, after the diamonds suit in playing cards, or a lozenge, though the latter sometimes refers specifically to a rhombus with a 45° angle.

rhombus looks like a diamond
All sides have equal length. Opposite sides are parallel, and opposite angles are equal (it is a Parallelogram). The altitude is the distance at right angles to two sides. And the diagonals "p" and "q" of arhombus bisect each other at right angles.        Image result for What is a rhombus in detail
