what is acid rain ?explain green house effect

Dear student,

It is rain with high levels of hydrogen ions (low pH), It is caused due to the presence of gaseous compounds of ammonium, carbon, nitrogen, and sulphur which on coming in contact with water forms acids.
Hence called acid rain.
It's harmful to plants, aquatic animals and infrastructure.

Due to the presence, some gases like methane, carbon dioxide, ozone and nitrous oxide (Greenhouse gases) the sun's radiations gets trapped in a planet's lower atmosphere which results in raising the atmospheric temperature of that planet, this phenomenon is also known as the Greenhouse effect.

The greenhouse effect is the process by which radiation from a planet's atmosphere warms the planet's surface to a temperature above what it would be without its atmosphere. If a planet's atmosphere contains radiatively active gases they will radiate energy in all directions.
