What is anchorage ??

Dear student, Anchorage is the term derived from the word ‘anchor’ which is a tool used to hold ship at a particular place in the water. Similarly anchorage means to hold or grip. e.g. Roots help in holding plants tightly to the soil by anchoring to the soil. Thanks and regards.
