.IN MAJORITY OF SEXUALLY REPRODUCING ORGANISMS ,THE FUSING GAMETES ARE DIFFERENT IN SIZE,FORM,STRUCTURE BEHAVIOUR i.e THEY ARE MORPHOLOGICALLY PHYSIOLOGICALLY DISTINCT FROM EACH OTHER.THAT IS WHY ANISOGAMY IS ALSO KNOWN AS HETEROGAMY.
