What is bhabar nd bhabar belt ?

Dear student,

Bhabhar is a narrow belt covered with pebbles lying along the foot of Shiwaliks from the Indus to Tista.
They are laid down by numerous stream descending down the hills.
The pebbled beds are parallel to the slope of river - bed.
This belt is about 8 - 16 km in width.

Dear friend =.Bhabhar belt is present near the Shivaliks and have a width up to 8 to 16 kms. =>They contain deposited pebbles which are deposited by the streams coming from the mountain. =>All the steams disappear here....

Dear friend Bhabhar is porus in nature.the Himalayan rivers while they are flowing down,deposit some stones,gravel,sediments in a narrow belt of 8 to 16 kms width found which is parallel to the foot hills of shivaiks.this feature is only called as bhabhar
