what is blood transfusion
Blood transfusion is a procedure by which any component of blood which may include the red blood cells or white blood cells or even platelets are transferred into a person’s circulatory system intravenously by collecting the product from another person’s circulatory system.
When patient is severely anaemic or has any condition which may result in blood loss such trauma etc., he/she may receive blood from other healthy person through blood transfusion.
