what is cause and effect relationshi

Dear Student,

Cause and effect relationship means how a cause (or change) in one variable affects another variable. This is to say that how a change in one variable triggers corresponding change and the extent to which another variable is getting affected. For example, if we say that there exists a cause and effect relationship between height and the level of oxygen, then it implies higher we go, lower is the level of oxygen. This is a case of negative correlation; in the similar way, we can have examples of positive correlation too.
