What is chemosynthesis? Is there a formula for it?
Vidhi, Its good to see your effort. But I think you have jumbled two different concepts.
Chemosynthesis is the process by which microorganisms make food using carbon molecules like carbon dioxide or methane by oxidizing hydrogen or hydrogen sulphide.
The equation representing Chemosynthesis is :-
CO2 + O2 + 4H2S → CH2O + 4S + 3H2O
Carbon dioxide (CO2 , oxygen ( O2 )and hydrogen sulphide (H2S )is used to make carbohydrate (CH2O). Sulphur and water are released as byproduct.
