What is Chromosomes , Chromatin and Sister chromatids  ?

Dear student, Chromosome is a long coiled DNA molecule containing genes which are associated with proteins. Chromatin- It is a complex combination of DNA and protein that makes up the chromosome in the nucleus of eukaryotic cells. It is usually found dispersed in the interphase nucleus and condensed into chromosome in mitosis and meiosis. Sister chromatids : Sister chromatids are two daughter strands of a single replicated chromosome. They are connected by a centromere. The information they carry will be exactly same. Sister chromatids are identical to each other During S phase of the cell cycle the DNA is replicated and an identical copy of the chromatid is made. These two chromatids are then called sister chromatids. Thanks and regards
