What is Copernicus revolution

Copernican Revolution is described as a shift in the field of astronomy from a geocentric understanding of the universe, centred around Earth. It is a heliocentric understanding, centred around the Sun.
It was articulated by the Polish astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus in the 16th century.
