what is CPCT?

CPCTstands forcorresponding parts of congruent triangles.It means that if two triangles are congruent with any of SAS, ASA, SSS and RHS congruence rules then remaining angles and sides corresponding in both triangles are equal.Example:

CPCT(Corresponding Parts of Congruent Triangles) is parts of the triangles which are not used while cogruency but are equal as the two triangles are congruent

CPCT  means  when  a  triangle  is  shown  that  its  sides  are  equal  to  another  traingle's sides or corresponding  angle then  we  use  CPCT(COngruent Partsof Congruent Traingles).  sides  and  angles of  congruent  triangles are equal  to  each other

the full form of CPCT is corresponding parts of ongruent triangles. there are total six things in a triangle through which we can say that the triangles are congruent (three sides and three angles).b ut we only take three things out of these to prove that the triangles are congruent and the rest of three parts of the triangles can be said to be equal by CPCT.

 CPCT is corresponding parts of congruents.it means that when u tilt a triangle , they will be congruent.

CPCT is known as corresponding parts of congruent triangle , when you proves two triangle is congruent. then all the sides and angles of the triangles become CPCT .

Jahanvi Goel is wrong.

CPCT stands for Corresponding Parts of Congruent Triangles.

Take an example. If Triangle ABC is congruent to Triangle DEF, then all sides and angles are equal. These sides and angles are the parts of the triangle. So, CPCT is simply the fact which means that all parts of a triangle are equal to or correspond with the parts of another triangle, BUT ONLY IF CONGRUENCY IS PROVED. Thank you and keep asking.

CPCTstands forcorresponding parts of congruent triangles.

It means that if two triangles are congruent with any of SAS, ASA, SSS and RHS congruence rules then remaining angles and sides corresponding in both triangles are equal.Example:

Given: ABCD is a parallelogram. E is the mid point of BC. AB is produced to L.To prove: (i) ∆DEC ≅ ∆LBE(ii) CD = BL, DE = ELProof: In ∆DCE and ∆LBEDEC = LEB(Vertically opposite angles)CE = BE (E is the mid point of BC)DCE = EBL (Pair of alternate angles since AB||CD)∴ ∆DEC ≅ ∆LBE(ASA Congruence Criterion)CD = BL (c.p.c.t)DE = EL (c.p.c.t)
