Democracy refers to a governmental rule of the people, by the people and for the people.
Democracy is a form of government wherein the people have the power of the state.
It is important in many ways, here are some:
1. Freedom of speech
2. Freedom of Expression
3. Right to dissent
4. Right to choose your own leaders
5. Internet freedom
6. Right to privacy
7. Answerability of the government
8. Sense of service is instilled in the government
9. 1 person 1 vote philosophy is adopted.
