What is difference between a ray and a half line?

A ray is a part of a line. It has one end point and extends endlessly on one direction. A ray has infinite length.

Half line is a line which has one end point, but moves upto infinity on the other end. It is also called a ray.

A half line, like any line, connects two points, therefore it has a definite length, whereas a ray starts from one point (source) and extends endlessly, therefore it's length is indefinite.
