An embryo may be defined as an organnism in the earlier stages
of the development i e it is the term given to the organism from
fertilization till the eighth week of pregnancy Foetus is the term
given to the organism from the eight week of preganancy till its
birth Both embryo and fetus refers to the different stages of
development of the organism ,although the basic difference is that
the organs of the organism are formed when it is in the form of
embryo while the rapid growth of the organs of the organisms takes
place when it is in the form of foetus
