What is difference between pressure group and interest groups?

Both interest groups and pressure groups are one and the same thing, only used interchangeably. In fact, interest groups that exist primarily for exerting political influence as a means of affecting government policies or legislation are often referred to by the narrower term pressure groups. The other terms are also synonymous to each other.

INTEREST groups are organizations that attempt to influence government policies.these organizations are formed when people with a common occupation, interest, aspirations or opinions come together in order to achieve a common objective. for e.g.FEDECOR in bolivia.

when any interest group starts seeking government help for the promotion of its interest and tries to influence the policy of the government,it turns itself into a pressure group.
