The synaptic neuron after sending the message in called post neuron and the neuron before sending the message is called is called pre neuron

Pre Synaptic neuron: The neuron whose nerve endings secrete neurotransmitters in the given synaptic cleft. It is the transmitter of the impulse.

Post Synaptic Neuron: The neuron whose nerve endings hace receptors to accept the neurotransmitters to form complexes that transfer the impulses in that neuron. It is the acceptor of the impulse in the given synaptic cleft.
