What is disruptive coloration?

Dear Student, Disruptive coloration is one of the strategy of camouflage in which body of the animal has colour patterns that break its outline and help it to merge with its surroundings. For example, the patterns on a leopard's body prevent its outline to be distinguished in its surroundings and make it invisible to the prey. The same strategy is followed on military vehicles and soldier's uniform. They have irregular contrasting colour patterns which helps them to remain concealed. Regards
