Electromagnetic induction (or simply induction, in electrical technology) means the phenomenon of generation of emf in a conductor by varying the magnetic flux associated with it. This can be achieved by moving the conductor in the magnetic field, or by varying the magnetic field associated with the conductor. Transformer, motor, generator etc. works according to the principle of electromagnetic induction.
